Immerse yourself in the warlike world of the great battles of the late Middle Ages.

The collections on display come from military equipment used during the Hundred Years' War: rare armets or burgonets (helmets), chain mail, authentic ballistas and crossbows, reproductions of pole arms. The reproduction of a Milanese suit of armour from the beginning of the 15th century is the most spectacular piece in this room. This armour is presented with its clothes and protections underneath: collar and skirt of mesh are partly visible, while the gambeson (a kind of padded jacket) remains invisible under the mesh.
