Exceptional!
The Taprobane theatre company presents an interactive family show within the walls of the Royal Fortress of Chinon.
A trio of actors transports you to their medieval world, filled with offbeat humour, lively combat and colourful characters.
A funny and informative show
Mélissandre, an energetic and formidably efficient steward, and Jean, a young squire who is as enthusiastic as he is clumsy, are on a mission: to find their lord, a knight as prestigious as he is elusive.
Faced with the urgency of the situation, there is only one solution: recruit a knight of fortune from among the audience.
Thus begins a crash course in the codes of medieval chivalry, which is completely improbable. Nothing is spared this reluctant hero, much to the delight of the audience.
Masterfully led by three ultra-dynamic stunt actors, ‘Le Chevalier Geignard’ is a historical farce set on the border between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, which challenges clichés with intelligence and self-mockery by combining offbeat humour, colourful characters and spectacular fencing fights with a genuine historical rigour.
