Bricole and trebuchet activities

The bank holiday weekends in May

Since 2017, the Royal Fortress of Chinon has displayed reproductions of medieval war machines in its grounds.

Trebuchets and bricoles are projectile weapons used during sieges of castles or fortified towns, one mainly by the attackers and the other by the defenders.

And because practice is often more inspiring, after listening carefully to our guide's explanations, it's time for some real firing!
