FOR KIDS
This object is a case for storing a bow. It was made around 1700. The ambassador of the Ottoman Empire, Turkey today, gave it to King Louis XV of France in 1742. Ambassadors are representatives of one country in another.
This case is not meant to be used. It is a symbol of power. With its many precious stones, it is also a sign of wealth!
