Access / How to get to the Fortress

Near the fortress: free parking for cars, buses, campers and bicycles.
The main car park on Avenue François Mitterrand has charging stations for electric cars. Secure lockers are also available for recharging bicycle batteries.

By car

• 40 min from Tours.
• 25 minutes from the castle of Azay-le-Rideau and the gardens of Villandry.
• By the A85, exit N°9 Chinon. Then D751.
• 2h30 from Paris. By the A10 and then by the A85.

By train

The Fortress is a 20 minute walk from the Chinon train station and 5 minutes by car (taxi, cab).
