Garment intended for worship cut from a typical velvet from the end 15th century (“pomegranate” pattern).On the strip of orphrey in the front we see:God the Father, Saint Anthony, Saint Barbara; on the strip of orphrey on the back: the Assumption, Saint Christopher, Saint Sebastian.

The scene depicted is a crucifixion; the Virgin is to the left of the cross and Saint John the Evangelist is to the right.Plant patterns embroidered with green silk are visible on the reverse.
3/ Embroidered band

The subjects represented are six kings of France, including Louis XI (all holding a sceptre).The embroidery technique used is extremely sophisticated (embossed gold cloth, enhanced with hatching and silk cords, hands and figures added in white silk).
