THE FORTRESS GIFT SHOP

The gift shop, located in the entrance building, offers a wide range of medieval inspired gifts - children’s games, costumes, postcards, and much more.
If you are looking for a souvenir of the Fortress, there is a large choice of personalised gifts - mugs, coins from the Paris Mint, Chinon AOC wines, to name a few.
You will also find a wide range of books for all ages.

In the entrance building you have also a water fountain, a drinks machine for hot and cold drinks and a vending machine for snacks.

Le Lysandre is situated in the grounds of the Fortress.


You can enjoy a delicious snack to eat in or to take away - there is a selection of sweet and savoury snacks available all day. 

 

ROOM HIRE

If you would like to organise a special event at the Royal Fortress of Chinon, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We will carefully review your request to find the best solution for your event:

  • The Plantagenêt Room (in the entrance building) - up to 50 people: full price for the day €900/reduced price €600.
  • Esplanade des Anglois (outside the Fortress) - up to 500 people: Full price for the day €1800/reduced price €1300.
  • Combles des Logis Royaux (in the eaves of the Royal Lodgings)- for up to 20 people : full price for the day €700/reduced price €500.
